My portrait technique goes beyond depicting someone’s likeness.
It captures the personality, it tells a story, it embeds energy and message, and it is a piece of me and the whole of my artistic expression.
I work with two distinct styles of portraits, which I classify as classic and imaginative.
- The classic style carries the traditional fundaments of the academic school. The most sought and common portraits show the head and shoulders of the model. It may show, tough, half-body, three-quarter of the body, or full body.
- The imaginative style is where I combine graphic design, storytelling, empowering message, and a whimsical composition to connect and align the viewer to the whole meaning of the portrait. It captivates and stimulates the imagination; every time you look at the portrait you will find out a new detail in there. I bet you will.
